An explosive device was found, this Tuesday morning (19), on the Yellow Line, the expressway that connects Avenida Brasil and Rio de Janeiro International Airport (Galeão/Tom Jobim) to Barra da Tijuca.
According to the Military Police (PMRJ), the explosive device was found near exit 4 of the Yellow Line, near Pilares, in the north of the city. Police officers from the Expressway Policing Battalion (BPVE) isolated the area and called the Civil Police Bomb Squad.
The road towards Barra was completely blocked so that the police could analyze the device and then detonate it.
The track has reopened, but still presents many restrictions for drivers traveling to Barra da Tijuca.
