Two men – a driving school instructor and the son of a student – were involved in a fight this Thursday (21), in Guarulhos, Greater São Paulo, after the woman failed the driving test.

The attacks took place on Avenida Prefeito Antônio da Costa Santos, in Jardim Santa Beatriz.

According to reports, the student’s son was dissatisfied with his failure and started arguing and filming the instructor. The professional became angry and attacked the boy.

“Regrettably, the incident involved an argument between a driving school instructor and the son of a student, after the candidate failed the goal maneuver. The aggression committed by the instructor is outside the standards of conduct required of those accredited with Detran-SP”, stated the organization in a note.

Detran stated that it opened proceedings involving the Driver Training Center involved.

“Based on the competence conferred (…) we determined the precautionary suspension of the activities of the accredited entities involved, without prejudice to the initiation of an administrative sanctioning process to investigate the facts”, he highlighted in a note.

Detran also said that it collaborates with the competent authorities in investigating the case and that it prioritizes the safety and integrity of candidates.

“Detran-SP repudiates the incident of aggression that occurred after a practical test in Guarulhos. This is an opportunity in which we reinforce the importance of impartial evaluation of candidates for licenses to build safer traffic,” he said.

The SSP (Public Security Secretariat) was contacted, but did not respond as to whether the incident had been registered.
The names of the instructor, the driving school, the student and the child were not released.
