The Cida Carvalho Mosaic Studio, with the approval of the Embassy of Israel in Brazil and the support of the National Congress, will inaugurate, next Thursday (21), the exhibition “Olhares de Israel”. The opening ceremony will be in the Black Room of the National Congress, at 10 am.

The exhibition is at Congress until October 2nd. 30 works will be exhibited, created by Brazilian and Israeli visual artists. The compositions portray the culture and natural beauty of Israel, through the different perspectives and repertoire of the artists. There are varied interpretations, based on the language of painting, sculpture, photography and mosaic.

The expography, designed by architect Luciana Amorim, was inspired by one of the rooms of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and draws a parallel between art, architecture and photography, whether through contrasts or consonances of materials. “Cultural exchange is of utmost importance to strengthen ties, enable the exchange of knowledge and encourage artists from Israel to bring the best of Brazil”, explains visual artist Cida Carvalho, creator and general director of the exhibition.
