A collision occurred in the early hours of this Monday morning (18), involving a car and a horse, resulting in serious consequences for the vehicle’s occupants.
The traffic accident occurred near the establishment known as “Café sem Troco”, in the São Sebastião region. When rescue teams arrived at the scene of the tragedy, they came across a red Fiat Tipo colliding violently with a horse. The car was driven by the 37-year-old man, who was stuck to the hardware due to the intensity of the impact.
Thanks to the quick action of the rescue team, the driver was safely extricated and subsequently transferred to the Instituto Hospital de Base do Distrito Federal (IHBB) in an unconscious state, suffering from severe head trauma.
In addition to the driver, two other people were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. A 36-year-old woman escaped the accident unharmed. However, the minor, just 11 years old, also needed medical attention. She was attended to by the firefighters’ pre-hospital care team and taken conscious and oriented to the IHBB, reporting pain in the abdominal region.
Unfortunately, the impact resulted in the death of the horse involved in the accident, which was found dead at the scene.
