A tourist bus was traveling along the Governador Doutor Adhemar Pereira de Barros Highway (SP-340) when it fell into the gap of an overpass, in the city of Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo.

According to information provided by Renovias, the highway concessionaire, the accident occurred at around 2:50 am this Sunday (17) and left 29 minor and two moderate victims, who were taken to an emergency care unit (UPA) in Jaguariúna, in São Paulo.

Renovias and the State Highway Police reported that the driver lost control and entered the median, colliding with a road sign, before falling into the overpass gap.

The Highway Police said the causes of the accident will be investigated.
