Who receives Bolsa Família
To receive Bolsa Família, families must comply with some conditions in the areas of health and education. Are they:
- School attendance requirement for children and adolescents between 4 and 17 years old
- Prenatal care for pregnant women
- Nutritional monitoring (weight and height) of children up to six years old
- Keeping the vaccination record up to date
To receive it, you must be registered with CadÚnico. Registration or updating of data is done at social assistance service points in the municipalities.
New Bolsa Família, which began to be paid in March, has an income value for entry. The program now includes families with incomes of up to R$218 per person — an increase in relation to the poverty range, which was up to R$210 per person.
Anyone who has not updated their registration since 2018 runs the risk of having the benefit cancelled. This September, beneficiaries with data that is more than 5 years out of date will be summoned. Anyone who does not respond to the call will have the benefit blocked in October, and payment will be canceled in November.
How to withdraw the money?
Bolsa Família can be used on the Caixa Tem app (Android e iOS). You can make withdrawals at self-service terminals, lottery outlets, Caixa Aqui correspondents and at Caixa branches. Beneficiaries have up to 120 days to withdraw Bolsa Família.
