Iranian hackers stole some of the campaign data of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and sent it to some people associated with former Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign. This is the complaint of US intelligence.

On Wednesday (September 18), several intelligence agencies, including the FBI, said in a joint statement that such activities were carried out from late June to early July. Joe Biden still did not withdraw from the election candidacy. The stolen information was sent via email to Democrats.

The Trump camp claims that this proves that Iran wants to interfere in the election with the help of the Democrats. Questions have also been raised about why Biden’s aides did not say anything about it earlier. Kamala’s campaign team claimed that the mails were in the form of spam. And they do not know what was inside them. They also said that the detectives were informed about this.

According to Reuters, Iran has been accused of meddling in the US presidential election before. But Tehran denied it at the time.

Reuters contacted Iran’s permanent mission at UN headquarters in New York following Wednesday’s new claim. But mission officials declined to comment.
