Iran’s new president Masoud Pezheshkian’s government has appointed a woman as its spokesperson for the first time. The appointment was made in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday (August 28). News, Tehran Times.

The appointed female spokesperson is Fatemeh Mohajerani (54). He previously served as the head of a university in Iran. Ali Bahadori Jahromi was the spokesman of the former president of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi.

It should be noted that Mohajerani was born in 1970 in the city of Arak, Markazi Province, Iran. He obtained his PhD in Business Administration from Edinburgh, Scotland. He also served as the head of the Technical and Vocational Training University of Shariat (for women) in Hassan Rouhani’s government. Mohajerani was also elected as the head of the Center for Brilliant Talent in 2017.
