Red alert (highest risk) and orange alert (high risk) have been issued in southern Lebanon and Nabatieh provinces, the statement said.
The statement called for taking a commercial flight back to China if possible or leaving Lebanon as soon as possible. Earlier, similar warnings have been issued by various countries including the United States, France, Australia, Sweden, and Slovenia.
Meanwhile, Israel attacked more than 10 places in Lebanon in one night. In a post on social media, Israel’s military said its fighter jets struck Hezbollah targets in more than 10 areas in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said the strikes targeted several Hezbollah warehouses, rocket launchers and other infrastructure.
However, no details were given about the attack. Earlier, it was reported by Israel that its troops attacked the areas of Chihin, Kafar Qila, Aita al-Shab and Alma al-Shab.
According to a report by Lebanon-based Al Mayadin TV, the Israeli forces attacked the areas of Khiyam, Kafar Shouba, Mahbib, Aita Al Shab, Jabkin, Ramiyah, Kawthariet and Sayad and Kafar Qila.
On the other hand, Hezbollah has demanded a direct attack on Israel’s military base. The Lebanon-based armed group said it fired Katyusha rockets at Israeli military barracks in the Ramot Naftali area of northern Israel and several artillery sites in Zaura in the occupied Golan Heights.
The two places were attacked on Wednesday night local time. Hezbollah claims that their rockets hit these places directly.
