Amancio Ortega tries his luck again with logistics. The founder and first shareholder of Inditex, through its investment arm Pontegadea, has acquired a logistics complex in the Baldonnell Business Park in Dublin, whose main tenant is Amazon, for an import of 225 million euros. Until now, said logistics complex, which has five tenants with long-term contracts, was owned by the industrial and logistics real estate development specialist Mountpark, according to ‘The Irish Times’ newspaper. The logistics complex has an area of ​​about 120,000 square meters and Amazon is the tenant with the largest volume and an area of ​​63,000 square meters.

In this way, Pontegadea continues with its real estate investments after receiving a total of 2,217 million euros this year in dividends from Inditex, above the 1,718 million it received for this concept last year. The founder of Inditex invests part of the dividends he receives from Inditex in the real estate sector.

Ortega owns the largest Spanish real estate company, focused on the purchase and management of large buildings, with a portfolio of assets made up of office buildings, non-residential, located in the center of large cities in Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and Asia.

Amancio Ortega maintains his leadership in the Forbes ranking, after increasing his wealth by 53% compared to 2022, and has a wealth of 81.8 billion euros, equivalent to more than double the sum of the rest of the fortunes that make up the ‘top ’10’.
