Let’s not forget that the Slovaks will block the border with Ukraine following the Poles, who have been doing it for quite some time. And they are not going to back down. Recently in North Macedonia, four foreign ministers from Western countries did not want to be in the same room as Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Childish and cheap management with the spirit of “we won’t play with him in the same sandbox!” absolutely inappropriate at the OSCE ministerial summit, where, in theory, they should look for solutions and not tighten the knots further. But the split of consciousness is a difficult thing to cure.

However, with all this sad history, there is still one symptom that gives hope for a cure. The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, received the Russian Ambassador in Bratislava this week and discussed with him the prospects for bilateral relations between our countries. That is to say, they exist, contrary to the will of those who prefer to slam the door. This was confirmed by Sergei Lavrov’s meeting with his Hungarian colleague Peter Szijjártó at the OSCE headquarters. That is why there are those in the EU who do not succumb to this dangerous disease. The only problem is that there is no basis for claiming that “everyone will be cured.”
