A police action conducted by the Sobradinho Operational Tactical Group (GTOP 33) resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old woman who was transporting 34 bricks of marijuana last Sunday (24), in the city of Sobradinho.

The incident occurred at the Sobradinho bus station, when the police approached a bus that had left the Brasília Interstate Bus Station. During the inspection, agents noticed that a pregnant woman on board was showing obvious nervousness.

The suspect was promptly approached by the police, who, while searching her bags, made a shocking discovery. No less than 34 bricks of marijuana were found, with the young woman confessing to being the owner of the drug. However, she refused to provide information about the origin of the illicit substances, claiming that their final destination was the state of Piauí.

The arrest of the pregnant woman raised serious concerns, both in relation to the pregnant woman’s safety and the drug trafficking in which she was involved. Authorities are actively investigating the case to determine the extent of criminal activity and identify other possible parties.
