The Federal District registered a new heat record for the year, so far, with 35.7ºC. The place with the highest record was the station located in Ponte Alta, in Gama, with 35.7ºC. Humidity reached 17%, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet).

The DF is under red alert, meaning the temperature may be 5ºC above average for a period longer than 5 days. The alert has been extended until next Tuesday (26/9), at 6pm.

To get through this period calmly, the institute gives some tips: Drink plenty of fluids; outdoor physical activities are not recommended; avoid exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day; and use skin moisturizer and humidify the environment.
