A group of students from the medical course at Centro Universitário São Camilo showed their buttocks to the public during a university competition in the interior of São Paulo, in the same tournament in which students from Unisa (Santo Amaro University) ran naked and with their hands on the penis.
The scenes appear in videos circulating on WhatsApp. The episode would have happened in April this year at a sporting event called Calomed, in São Carlos (216 km from SP), but videos of both cases have only gone viral now.
This Tuesday (19), students from São Camilo confirmed to the report that they are students from the institution who appear in these other images.
When contacted, Centro Universitário São Camilo stated that it was aware of the videos this Monday (18) and is evaluating the images to decide whether disciplinary measures should be applied, based on its internal regulations.
The institution also said that it works to raise awareness among students on all courses about ethical conduct and that it will talk to the teams that represent the university center. He also stated that he will develop a code of conduct for athletes.
“We reinforce our commitment to respecting all types of human life and we understand that even in the joy of youth there is a limit between celebrations for victories and ethical conduct”, says the note from São Camilo.
Unisa claims that it expelled the students who were identified.
“Considering the seriousness of the acts, Unisa has already taken the case to the public authorities, promptly contributing to other investigations and appropriate measures”, says the text signed by rector Eloi Francisco Rosa.
This Tuesday, the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, criticized Unisa’s delay in expelling the students involved in the episode.
“Why did they only expel them now? Why didn’t they expel them earlier, in April, when the case occurred?”, he asked. For the minister, the students’ behavior is “unacceptable and disgusting”.
