The Consumer Price Index (IPC), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, increased 0.20% in the second four-week period of September, accelerating in relation to the 0.06% gain seen in the first four-week period of this month, according to data published this Tuesday, 19th, by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).

In the second reading of September, four of the seven components of the IPC-Fipe gained strength: Housing (from -0.14% in the first four weeks to 0.07% in the second four weeks); Transport (from 0.64% to 1.00%); Personal Expenses (from 0.48% to 0.91%); and Health (from 1% to 1.07%).

On the other hand, there was more intense deflation or price cooling in the categories Food (from -0.63% to -0.76%), Clothing (from 0.51% to 0.38%) and Education (from 0.09 % to 0.07%)
