A 34-year-old woman reported being a victim of rape and becoming pregnant after a meeting with a stranger who invited her to go to the cinema in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. According to information obtained by G1, the incident occurred in August and was registered at the police station in September.
After accepting the invitation to watch a movie, the woman got into the man’s car, which was parked nearby. The attacker, however, said he would make a brief stop at a wine cellar before heading to the cinema.
According to the victim’s report to the police, the attacker drove for approximately 15 minutes until he reached a deserted, dark street with trucks parked near Avenida Perimetral. At that moment, he forced himself on her and committed the rape.
Shortly after the crime, the woman managed to unlock the vehicle door and fled on foot to her residence. The attacker continued along Avenida Perimetral.
After the incident, the victim sought care at the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in the East Zone, where she underwent HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis C tests, which yielded negative results. As the woman also discovered that she was pregnant, she was referred for prenatal care at Policlínica Aparecida.
The case was registered at the Women’s Defense Police Station (DDM) in Santos, where it is being investigated by the competent authorities.
