In the early hours of this Tuesday, September 19, a police operation by Operational Tactical Group 29 (Gtop 29) resulted in the arrest of a man who was selling drugs in the South Sector of Gama.

At around 1 am, military police officers from Gtop 29 were patrolling block 2 of the city’s South Sector when they observed a man involved in the sale of drugs. Faced with the suspicious situation, the police officers promptly decided to approach him.

During the approach, portions of a substance that had similarities to crack were found on the suspect, as well as a sum of money worth R$233, which possibly came from drug sales. With clear evidence of drug trafficking, the man was detained in the act by the police.

After his arrest, the individual was taken to the local police station to register the incident. He is expected to face charges related to drug trafficking and possibly also for involvement in the illicit trade of controlled substances.
