On the night of last Monday, September 18, a police operation by Operational Tactical Group 34 (Gtop 34) resulted in the arrest of a man who was cycling through the streets of Planaltina carrying narcotics and equipment related to drug trafficking.

At around 10 pm, military police officers from Gtop 34 were patrolling Estância Mestre D’armas, when they saw a man on a bicycle acting suspiciously. Given the cyclist’s attitude, the military decided to carry out a routine approach.

However, upon receiving an order to stop, the cyclist tried to flee in a desperate attempt, but was unsuccessful. The police officers quickly caught up with him and proceeded with the detailed approach.

Among the items seized were 140 grams of a substance with characteristics similar to cocaine, 42 grams of a substance that looked like marijuana, two precision scales, two credit card machines, four cell phones and a roll of film paper.

Given clear evidence of involvement in drug trafficking, the suspect was immediately arrested and taken to the local police station to register the incident. He is expected to face charges related to the possession and trafficking of narcotics, as well as the use of equipment for the illicit sale of controlled substances.
