Jão made waves when he released his music video starring alongside João Guilherme. Much was said about the controversial images and internet users did not stop questioning their sexual orientation and called them to say that they were using the LGBTQIA+ theme to profit. The artist used the name Gusttavo Lima to refute the accusations and said that the public’s opinion is always to go against him.
“When I kiss a woman, I want to hide my sexuality. When it’s a man, I’m looking to get attention. “Is anyone questioning Gusttavo Lima or any other singer about who they kiss in their work and whether they are trying to attract attention with this?” he asked, he began.
He adds: “It doesn’t make any sense. I will continue to express my sexuality however I want and feel comfortable. It’s been 5 years and you’re in it.” Jão is openly a bisexual man.
