Tiago Leifert spoke once again about leaving Globo, where he ran Big Brother and The Voice Brasil, in an interview last Sunday (17). The presenter left the broadcaster in 2021, shortly after discovering his daughter, Lua’s diagnosis of eye cancer.

Tiago told Domingo Espetacular (Record) that he decided to leave the network when he realized that he had already reached the top of his career: “It was the peak. I’ve come far. From looking and saying: ‘What do I do from here? Where do I go?’ “. When leaving Globo, the idea was to work on the internet, with digital games.

He had previously said that he received a million-dollar proposal to continue at BBB, but decided to leave the house anyway: “I wanted to be in charge of my time. Globo was very cool. They offered me a very good financial proposal, something that would change my life”.

Tiago also spoke about creating an NGO with his wife, Daiana Garbin, to help parents of children who have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having retinoblastoma, the eye tumor discovered in Lua, the couple’s two-year-old daughter. “Our dream is to cure all children who have retinoblastoma,” he said, whose daughter is still undergoing treatment.

The post Tiago Leifert explains his departure from Globo and says he reached his ‘peak’ at the broadcaster appeared first in Jornal de Brasília.
