The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, said that two PADs (disciplinary administrative proceedings) were opened to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Heloisa dos Santos Silva, shot during an approach by the PRF (Federal Highway Police) in Rio de Janeiro, and another to investigate whether corporate agents went to the hospital where the girl was admitted.
“Verbally, I inquired today when I found out and tried to find out. What the Highway Police reports is that they don’t know if there were 28, but that several teams went because it was a Human Rights team from the police itself, it was another team to do the vehicle’s expertise”, said Dino this Monday (18).
According to the head of Justice, the purpose of one of the PADs is “to distinguish between police officers who went there because they were supposed to go and police officers who went there for purposes outside the corporation’s objective”.
“We will separate the circumstances with this PAD and find out how many there were, why they were there, if these purposes were legitimate or if there was eventually a situation absolutely incompatible with the law regarding the attempt, who knows, to dissuade or threaten the family”, he stated.
Heloisa died on Saturday (16) after being hospitalized for nine days. She was shot inside the family car, near Seropédica, in Baixada Fluminense. In a PRF vehicle were agents Fabiano Menacho Ferreira, Matheus Domicioli Soares Viegas Pinheiro and Wesley Santos da Silva.
