On September 19th (Tuesday), Itaú Cultural opens another edition of the “Constellation of Arts” course, which this time explores Brazilian literary experiences. Interested parties can access the training through the IC School platform – https://escola.itaucultural.org.br/. Being prepared in a self-training format, it is not necessary to register. The course is previously recorded and is available for access indefinitely.

In “Constellation of arts – Brazilian literary experiences: ways of existing”, these practices are presented to students based on the notion of plurality. The course will rescue little-studied physical and cultural spaces, as well as varied artistic expressions. Aimed at the general public, art teachers, art and literature enthusiasts and scholars, the program is divided into four axes:

  • Fundamental concepts;
  • Brazilian indigenous identities;
  • Black Brazilian identities;
  • Brazilian mixed-race identities.

In its 20 hours of duration, it addresses the following issues: plurality of Brazilian identities and their diverse relationships with literary practice; indigenous, Afro-Brazilian and black-Brazilian representations in Brazilian art and literature; and historical repertoires of the constitution of the notion of miscegenation as a component of the formation of a national identity.
