New testimonies from victims of harassment increased legal pressure against Marcius Melhem, former director of Rede Globo this Saturday (16). The accusations, which were already serious, took on a more serious tone with detailed reports of sexual and moral harassment. The victims are Karina Dohme, Ellen Roche and Susana Pires, actresses known to the public, who detailed their traumatic experiences in September 2021 to the MPT (Public Ministry of Labor) in a process that investigates Globo’s conduct in relation to the complaints against Melhem.

The actresses’ statements were revealed by Juliana Dal Piva’s column, after being sent from the MPT to the MP-RJ, and are included in the criminal case against the comedian. As the cases prescribed, the statements serve to reinforce the accusation and the most serious, from Karina, caused the actress to be named by the prosecution as a witness. Melhem is being investigated for sexual harassment in a process that is being processed in secrecy at the 20th Criminal Court of the TJ-RJ.

The case of Karine Dohme – she worked with Melhem from 2012 on the programs “Caras de Pau” and “Zorra”, she described that Melhem made “sexual comments with all the women” all the time, “tightened her waist and smelled the colleagues’ necks” and called the employees “hot” and “delicious”, emitting “lascivious moans”, creating an uncomfortable and toxic work environment.
The case of Ellen Roche – she worked with Melhem in “Zorra Total” and in “Escolinha do Professor Raimundo”, she reported that the comedian called her “beautiful, wonderful and sometimes hot”. In an episode in 2015, Melhem offered a ride to Ellen, who refused and asked Maria Clara Gueiros to accompany her. Melhem asked where Ellen’s hotel was and if he could meet her there. The actress responded by questioning the reason. Maria Clara Gueiros and director Cininha de Paula provided statements that reinforced Ellen’s report.
The case of Susana Pires – she worked with Melhem on the program “Caras de Pau”, reported that she was the only woman on the writing team. According to her, Melhem made “jokes” about her being “hot.” Over time, she began to place “her hands on the deponent’s legs and began to increase the burden of harassment.”
