Summer is synonymous with sunny days, crowded beaches, golden sunsets and, above all, refreshing drinks. Homemade lemonades with seasonal fruits are one of the favorite choices to beat the heat, and today we present you three delicious recipes that will transport you to the heart of summer with each sip.

The basil lemonade recipe combines the citrus flavor of lemon with the aromatic touch of fresh basil, offering a unique experience for the palate. On the other hand, the berry lemonade recipe mixes strawberries, raspberries, and other berries with lemon juice for a burst of flavor. And we can’t forget the juicy watermelon lemonade recipe, which combines the freshness of watermelon with the citrus flavor of lemon. Each one of them is a refreshing trip, full of flavor and joy, that you have to try.

1. Basil Lemonade
This combination of lemon and basil will bring fresh and Mediterranean aromas directly to your table. For this we will need the following ingredients: The juice of 5 lemons, a bunch of fresh basil, sugar to taste or honey, sparkling or natural water and ice. To prepare it, squeeze the lemons and mix the juice with sugar or honey to taste. Add basil leaves to taste and gently crush them to release their essential oils. Combine the water and mix well. Finally, serve with ice and decorate with a basil leaf.

2. Red fruit lemonade
Red berries not only provide a sweet and sour flavor at the same time, but also fill your drink with antioxidants and a beautiful ruby color. For this recipe you must have the juice of 4 lemons, a cup of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries…), sugar or honey to taste, sparkling or natural water and ice. In a blender, mix the red fruits with the lemon juice and sugar or honey to taste. Beat until you get a homogeneous liquid. Pass through a strainer to remove the seeds and mix with the water. Serve cold with ice and some whole red berries to decorate.

3. Watermelon Lemonade
Finally, watermelon is the queen of summer and this lemonade combines its sweet flavor with the acidity of lemon. The ingredients are: the juice of 3 lemons, 2 cups of cubed watermelon, sugar or honey to taste, sparkling or natural water and ice. When preparing it, mix the watermelon with the lemon juice in a blender. Add sugar or honey to taste and beat until smooth. Combine with water and serve cold with ice. You can decorate with small triangles of watermelon.
