The British company NexGen Cloud, according to the Datacenter Dynamics resource, intends to invest US$ 1 billion in the AI Supercloud project: we are talking about the implementation of the so-called AI supercloud in Europe. The creation of the platform will begin this month. NexGen Cloud has already placed equipment orders worth approximately US$576 million. When fully completed, the system will combine 20,000 NVIDIA H100 accelerators.

The platform is scheduled for completion in June 2024. Access to the system will be provided through the NexGen Cloud hyperstack. AI Supercloud capabilities will be available to enterprise and government customers, who must remain within European jurisdiction. The supercloud is expected to enable customers to solve resource-intensive AI problems while remaining competitive in the global market.

The project is funded through a partnership between NexGen Cloud and Moore and Moore Investments Group (MMI) with funds from private investors. It is noted that NexGen Cloud is a member of the NVIDIA partner network. The company, founded in 2020, provides services using the infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) model: customers receive high-performance, GPU-based cloud computing solutions.
