São Paulo, 25 – The governor of Minas, Romeu Zema (Novo), justified his support for Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the second round of 2022 “much more” for having seen what the PT government did with the State and the Country than “for agreeing” with the former president’s proposals. Zema participated yesterday in an event promoted by Lide, with the presence of the founder of the business group, the former governor of São Paulo João Doria.

“During the pandemic, I had a completely different position from his. So much so that Minas was the State, excluding the North and Northeast, with the lowest mortality rate in Brazil. There is a very clear example”, said Zema when asked by Estadão about how which Bolsonaro proposals he disagrees with. “In Minas, despite having 320,000 public employees, I don’t have any relatives. So, we also have a difference there.”
