São Paulo, 25 – The president of Congress and the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), stated yesterday that the House intends to examine as soon as possible the nominee by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) .
“What I told the President of the Republic is that, as soon as he decides on the name and forwards it to the Senate, we will then discuss it as quickly as possible,” Pacheco told journalists after participating in an event in Rio.
The senator was also asked about the possibility of Lula discarding the triple list of the National Association of Public Prosecutors (ANPR). “The list ended up being a guide and an important indicator, but there is no obligation. Therefore, it is not illegal or immoral to think about names outside the list.”
